UServeUtah's Volunteer for Good Pilot Program: Year 2 Evaluation Report

The Utah Education Policy Center (UEPC) has released its second annual evaluation report on Volunteer for Good, a four-year pilot program (2024–2028) developed by the Utah Commission on Service and Volunteerism (UServeUtah). The program is Utah’s high school service initiative, designed to explore the impacts on students’ academics, social connections, civic engagement, and mental well-being through service. UEPC is evaluating the pilot across all four years.

The Year 2 report covers the 2025–26 school year in five Local Education Agencies (Garfield County, Granite, Nebo, and Sevier School Districts, and Mountain Heights Academy). It summarizes key implementation metrics; highlights facilitators of and barriers to implementation; describes how students, educators, and families experienced the program; and uses student survey data to examine early associations between participation and students’ self-reported academic, social, mental well-being, and civic outcomes.
